THREE TURKMEN UNIVERSITIES ENTERED THE TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION WORLD RANKING

Turkmen universities are increasingly taking positions in the prestigious and world-famous rankings of the British organization Times Higher Education (THE).

This time, three Turkmen universities have placed on the lines of THE World University Rankings-2023 published these days. It included the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev with the status of "reporter".

The annual THE World University Rankings is the only global performance table that ranks universities across all of their major areas of activity. The results are calculated using 13 performance criteria that underlie the five main areas of work of universities: teaching, research work and its impact, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.

The rating is one of the most authoritative indicators of the success of higher education institutions in the world. It was first launched in 2004 with only 200 participating universities. Together with the rapidly changing global landscape of higher education, the number of participants in the ranking is growing year by year. Today it is the largest and most diverse university ranking. THE World University Rankings-2023 includes 1799 universities from 104 countries.

Turkmen universities are actively joining the list of THE ratings participants. Events of this level increase their authority, clearly demonstrate the active development and desire to achieve the highest results of work, and also contribute to the solution of one of the main tasks of national education to join the country's universities to the ranks of the leading higher schools in the world.
