ACTING MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN HELD A NUMBER OF BILATERAL MEETINGS IN ISLAMABAD

On March 22, 2022, on the sidelines of the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC in Islamabad, the head of the foreign policy department of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a number of bilateral meetings.

In particular, negotiations of the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov was held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic R. Kazakbayev.

During the talks, the ministers stressed the importance of the existing huge potential for the development of bilateral Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations across the entire spectrum of political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties in the long term.

Also on this day, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey M. Çavuşoglu.

The diplomats noted the effectiveness of the bilateral political and diplomatic dialogue between Turkmenistan and Turkey. Regular high-level meetings give a powerful impetus to the development of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. 

On March 22, bilateral negotiations took place between Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The parties considered a wide range of issues on the Turkmen-Saudi agenda in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

In this context, the positive dynamics of interstate relations was noted; and the need to intensify contacts at the highest and high levels was expressed.
