DIPLOMATIC MISSION OF TURKMENISTAN PARTICIPATED TO THE “FESTIVAL OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY” HELD IN THE UNESCO HEADQUARTERS IN PARIS
On January 23, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France along with other diplomatic missions took part in the “Festival of Cultural Diversity” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the foundation of UNESCO. The stand of Turkmenistan was organized at the event.
The cultural action took place in the UNESCO headquarters and was organized upon the initiative of the Organization’s Secretariat and the UNESCO Club of Ambassadors. All the states-participants of the given event organized their national stands.
The heads and representatives of the UNESCO Secretariat, the diplomatic corps accredited in UNESCO and in France, as well as the representatives of the state entities of France, public community and mass media participated to the opening ceremony of the “Festival of Cultural Diversity.”
The Embassy of Turkmenistan linked the given cultural activity with the current year which is declared in our country as “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality.”
The handmade carpets, national costumes, jewelry and souvenirs were demonstrated at the Turkmen stand. The visitors also found an opportunity to taste the dishes of national cuisine.
