INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SECURITY OLYMPIAD: WINNER AND PRIZE-WINNER FROM TURKMENISTAN

Two students from Turkmenistan were among the winners and prize-winners of the International Financial Security Olympiad, organized jointly by the department and the ministries of the Russian Federation - the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

In the direction of the Olympiad "International Relations", the first place was awarded to Bainazar Nepesov, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of International Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. We emphasize that in this category of the Olympiad only 1 winner was announced and it was a student from our country.

An honorable second place in the same category was won by Atajan Metjiev, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of International Law and International Relations of the capital's International University for the Humanities and Development.

So, these days, with a well-deserved victory cup and diplomas for prizes, Turkmen students returned to their homeland from the Russian city of Sochi, where the final of the student competition and the solemn ceremony of summing up its results took place. In particular, the events of the final stage were held from 10 to 14 October in the federal territory "Sirius".

Turkmenistan was represented in the finals by a national team of 10 students from 5 universities of the country, which was formed based on the results of preliminary qualifying tests held in May this year.

In general, the audience of participants in the Olympiad was about 40 thousand students from 12 countries - Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Brazil, India, South Africa and China. About 500 people entered the final of the review, and 26 schoolchildren and 72 students from all 12 participating countries became winners and prize-winners.

Bachelor's, specialist's and master's students from universities around the world, as well as students of grades 8-10 of Russian schools were invited to participate in the Olympiad. This year the Olympiad was held for the second time. The number of participants increased by a third, the geographical coverage extended to five more countries compared to last year. This indicates the development and growth of interest in topical issues of financial literacy and security among the youth.

The Olympiad was held in Russian and English in the following areas: Economics, finance and credit, economic security; Information Security; Jurisprudence; International relationships.

Among the main goals of the Olympiad is to increase the level of general information, financial and legal literacy of participants, the development of new forms of thinking, the identification of talented young people who have in-depth knowledge, skills in the field of financial security, and the stimulation of educational, cognitive and research activities of students.

It should be noted that the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad receive benefits in admission to specialized partner universities of the International Network Institute (IAN), as well as the opportunity for internships at Rosfinmonitoring and organizations in the financial sector.
