PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT OF THE RESOLUTION DEDICATED TO THE NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN HELD IN NEW YORK
On January 24, 2020, the presentation of the project of the resolution dedicated to the neutrality of Turkmenistan entitled “The Role and Significance of the Neutrality Policy in Sustaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development” took place in the UN headquarters in New York and was organized by the Permanent Representation of Turkmenistan to the UN.
The representatives of the UN member-states, as well as the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Ms. Natalia Gherman participated to the event.
During the presentation, the participants were informed about the policy of neutrality of the UN member-states which contributes to strengthening of international peace and security in the world.
The participants were informed about the preparations to the International Conference entitled «Policy of Neutrality and its Importance in Ensuring International Peace, security and sustainable development», dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality status of Turkmenistan to be held on December 11-12, 2020 in Ashgabat.
