On the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality: Turkmenistan’s Consulate General in Herat Held a Ceremony

On November 20, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Afghan city of Herat held a ceremonial event in the conference hall of the Arg Hotel.

The event, organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, was attended by the governor of Herat province, representatives of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), heads of consular missions, as well as respected members of the Turkmen diaspora residing in a compact manner in the Herat and Badghis provinces. This was reported by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Herat.

During the event, the significance of the international recognition of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality was highlighted.

It was noted that neutral Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to strengthening peace and security in the world, enhancing mutual understanding between states and peoples, promoting friendly, trusting, and effective cooperation, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, video clips dedicated to the 30th anniversary of neutrality were shown, and an exhibition showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people was organized. The exhibition left a strong impression on the attendees.

At the end of the event, traditional Turkmen dishes were offered to all participants and guests.
