New book of the National Leader of Turkmen people “Jewel of the Mind” was presented at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On December 5, 2024, the presentation of the new book “Jewel of the Mind” of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held in the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by the leadership and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions and consulates of Turkmenistan abroad, as well as faculty members, students of the Institute and representatives of mass media.

In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov emphasizing the importance of the new book, noted that the new work presents scientific data on political and trade relations of the Altyn-Depe, Margush, Seljuk and Horezmshakh states with their close neighbors. According to these data, Turkmens have been following the principles of peace and effectively applying preventive diplomacy since ancient times.

It was stated that the book will allow foreign readers to get acquainted with interesting information about the history of Turkmen people, moral values, the evolvement of science, education and culture in Turkmenistan, as well as the principles of peacefulness and creation inherited from the Oguzhan era.

Among the speakers were the Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Gulshat Yusupova, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chinar Rustamova, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Saragt Babayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Turkmenistan Ahsan Ali Wagan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Nurlan Nogayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyyev.

It was noted in the speeches made at the conference that the book “Jewel of the Mind” consists of the “Foreword” and two parts. The first part “Visit to History” tells about the glorious historical path of Turkmen people, as well as the historical and cultural monuments saved on the territory of the country. The National Leader of Turkmen people presented his views and reasoning on these subjects in five chapters of his work. The second section “Spiritual Legacy”, consisting of six chapters, tells about the diversity of cultural and spiritual values that constitute the heritage of the nation.

Talking about the creative research, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan emphasized that while creating the new book he used his previously written works and publications presented to the public, as well as the information collected on the basis of recent historical discoveries made by local archeologists, who are making every effort to glorify the Motherland, by referring to the manuscripts brought from abroad.

An exhibition consisting of paintings, unique samples of decorative and applied arts was organized in the foyer of the Institute.

At the end of the event, the participants of the ceremony adopted an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
